Dallas Sports Season Advertising: A Game-Day Planning Guide
How to time a mobile billboard campaign around Cowboys, Stars, and Wings game days, and where to put your truck to reach those crowds.
Pick almost any week of the year and a Dallas team is playing somewhere. The Cowboys are a month into their season, and the Stars opened their home schedule at American Airlines Center on Oct. 2. Next summer the Wings move their full home schedule into the city for the first time.
For a business that wants to be seen by big, predictable crowds, Dallas sports season advertising is one of the easier campaigns to plan, because the dates are public months ahead.
Where those games happen is a different story. Two of these three teams have played home games in Arlington, which changes where your stops should go. What follows is a team-by-team look at where the crowds gather on game day, and how to turn that into a stop list you can hand over when you book.
Why Game Days Make Better Campaign Dates
Most mobile billboard campaigns involve some guessing about where people will be and when. Game days take most of the guessing away. Leagues release their schedules well before the first game, and fans keep showing up on those dates for months.
Repetition is the part people overlook. A truck that turns up near the arena across several home dates gets seen by many of the same fans again and again, and repeated exposure is how a name sticks. You also know your dates early, so you can book before the season gets busy. That predictability is the whole case for Dallas sports season advertising. Planning Dallas Sports Season Advertising Around the Calendar
Any plan for Dallas sports season advertising starts with one question per team. Is the game in Dallas or not? The answer decides whether your stops go near the venue or near the places fans watch.

Cowboys Game Days and the Dallas Watch-Party Crowd
AT&T Stadium is in Arlington, outside Dallas city limits. That doesn’t take it off the table. Byllboard can run stops along the streets fans use to reach the stadium on game day.
The stadium crowd is only part of the audience, though. Most Cowboys fans watch from somewhere else, and on game day a lot of that somewhere else is Dallas, in the sports bars and patios of Deep Ellum, Lower Greenville, and Uptown. Home or away makes little difference to a watch party. This season’s Week 3 “home” game against Baltimore was played in Rio de Janeiro, and fans here still had to find a TV.
Book prime-time and holiday games first. The Cowboys’ official 2026 schedule still has Monday night road games at Philadelphia on Oct. 26 and at Seattle on Dec. 7. At home, there’s the Thanksgiving game against the Eagles on Nov. 26 and a Sunday night matchup with Jacksonville on Dec. 27. NFL flexible scheduling can move late-season dates and kickoff times, so check again before you finalize your stops.
Stars Game Days at American Airlines Center
The Stars are the simplest team on this list. American Airlines Center sits in Victory Park, inside Dallas, and the Stars’ official 2026-27 schedule puts 41 home games there this season. Sixteen fall on weekends. Nine land in October alone.
Opening night showed how early a hockey crowd can build. The team held its green carpet walk on PNC Plaza, just south of the arena, and fans could start lining up at 3 p.m., two hours before the players arrived.
Regular weekend games skip the pageantry, but the pattern holds. People get to Victory Park early to eat and drink, then leave together after the final horn. A screen parked along those paths is seen on the way in and again on the way out, and that two-window night is why American Airlines Center advertising is worth planning around.
One date breaks the pattern. The Feb. 20 outdoor Stadium Series game against Vegas is at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, so plan it the way you would a Cowboys game.
Wings Game Days and the 2027 Move to Victory Park
The Wings have spent most of their time in North Texas at College Park Center in Arlington. This season they scheduled 19 of their 22 home games there, with three at American Airlines Center.
Next year that flips. The team announced in August that every 2027 home game will be played at AAC, where their games have already sold out, including a 2025 matchup with the Indiana Fever.
For advertisers, the timing is the appeal. The WNBA plays through the summer, while hockey and football are both off. A business that wants a steady presence around Victory Park now has a reason to stay there from spring into fall, and anyone planning early gets first pick of the dates.
Keep an eye out for the 2027 schedule release. Once the dates are public, choose your games and get them booked. Our page on sports event advertising in Dallas covers how event campaigns come together.
Choosing Stops for Dallas Sports Season Advertising
Every Byllboard campaign starts with a list of addresses from you. We take those stops and build the drivable route. For game-day advertising, most good lists draw from two kinds of places.
Near the venue
For Stars games now, and Wings games from 2027, that means the streets fans walk through around American Airlines Center. On Cowboys game days, it means the approach to AT&T Stadium. Arrivals trickle in over an hour or more. Departures happen all at once.
Where fans watch
Sports bars, restaurant patios, and entertainment districts carry Cowboys game days, along with any big Stars or Wings road game. If your storefront sits near one of these areas, add it to the list. The campaign then sends people toward a door they can walk through that same night.
Creative that reads at game speed
Someone walking to a game gives your screen a few seconds. Keep it to one offer, paired with a QR code or short URL that only appears on the truck, so responses trace back to the campaign. Tie the offer to the game if you can. A deal that only kicks in after a win gives fans a reason to come find you the next day.
Before You Book
A short prep list makes the first conversation about Dallas sports season advertising a lot faster.
- ✓Check which city the game is in. For Arlington games, decide between stadium-area stops, Dallas watch-party stops, or both.
- ✓Pick your priority dates from the official team schedules, starting with weekend, prime-time, and holiday games.
- ✓Gather the addresses you want covered, and include your own location if it sits near a venue or watch-party district.
- ✓Note the time windows that matter most to you, usually pregame arrival and postgame exit.
- ✓Finalize creative around a single offer with a trackable QR code, promo code, or phone number.
- ✓Book as far ahead as you can. Byllboard doesn’t take same-day bookings, and popular game dates go first.
